Aerial photograph interpretation

Modern aerial photograph interpretation is based on historical images from the archives of the USA and the United Kingdom. The photos show the extent of the bombing and fighting during the Second World War.

When it comes to clearing ordnance, these images are an indispensable source of information to assess the hazard of ordnance in areas. The aerial photographs show evidence of bombardment, destruction by artillery shelling and locations of trench warfare.

Our experts at TAUBER evaluate digitized images stereoscopically – with a spatial impression – to search for military operations and areas with suspected unexploded ordnance. In combination with other historical documents, this results in a comprehensive historical-genetic reconstruction. On this basis, experts draw up maps that identify possible dangers and form the basis for necessary detection measures.
